“Every lesson was actually about what I needed — talking to my partner’s family — not a generic curriculum I’d already half-forgotten by the next session.”
Before you book
Is this different from group classes?
Yes — private lessons are one-to-one, built entirely around your goals and pace. Group classes run on Wednesday evenings for a more social, shared-pace environment — see our Classes & Lessons page for details.
How long is a lesson?
Your first lesson is a free 30-minute trial. Ongoing private lessons run a full hour.
What’s the difference between Casual and Complete Package?
Casual is pay-as-you-go at $50/hr with no commitment. Complete Package is a 5 or 10-lesson block at $40/hr, and includes your course book, flashcards, story book, and student portal access — around $100 worth of materials, included.
Can I switch between online and in-person?
Yes, many students mix both depending on the week — just let us know your preference when booking each lesson.
Do I need to commit to a package upfront?
No. Start with a free 30-minute trial, and decide on a package afterwards — no pressure either way.
What if I need to reschedule?
You can reschedule or cancel directly from your confirmation email up until 24 hours before your lesson.
